展示空間の設計｜On the Design of the Exhibition Space
公開にあたっては豊島邸の空間の魅力を多世代に伝える効果的な展示とするため、香川大学の建築学生たちの組織KASASHIMA STUDIO（釜床研究室の大学院生達と、創造工学部建築・都市環境コースの学部学生達、計15名）が、保存地区に拠点を持つ建築家の柏木由人氏の指導のもと展示空間の設計を行いました。その実現・公開にあたっては、学生自ら協賛依頼等を行い、多数の個人・企業のご協力のもと公開に至りました。展示空間の設計趣旨や活動についてはKASASHIMA STUDIOのHPやInstagramをぜひご覧下さい。
For the exhibition accompanying the public opening, efforts were made to effectively convey the spatial qualities of the Toyoshima Residence to audiences across generations. The design of the exhibition space was undertaken by KASASHIMA STUDIO—a group consisting of 15 students, including graduate students from the Kamatoko Laboratory and undergraduate students from the Architecture and Urban Environment Course of the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Kagawa University—under the guidance of architect Yoshito Kashiwagi, who is based in the preservation district. In realizing and presenting the exhibition, the students themselves undertook tasks such as soliciting patronage, and thanks to the generous support of many individuals and companies, the public opening has now been made possible.
